does any one know if the studs on a frame mount tank straps and a cab mount tank the same length. i need to replace the ones on my burb and i have some truck studs

John,

What is the total length of you cab-tank stud and what is the length of the threaded section on that stud?

My suburban studs were broken, so I have no idea of the correct length. I made studs and cut them to length by test fitting (and trimming the length as needed). I decided not to use rivets to attach the stud to the strap; I used small round/headed bolts.

overall length is 3 1/8 inches

That sounds about right. I will measure the stud this afternoon/evening and post a reply.

It looks line mine are about 4" total length with about 2.5" threaded. I will make a more exact measurement tomorrow.
