Well, I'm the new guy I love these old trucks and the parts, the people, and the stories and I must admit, I don't know all that much about these trucks - but, I am willing to learn AND I am willing to HELP anyone in anyway that I can! Please be patient with me Tom (49 Panel) | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 | Hi Joe! I'm going to use my 49 Chevy 1/2ton Panel truck The plans call for: black & white paint, red police bubble light on top, Fulton sunvisor, spotlight on driver's side pillar, siren on passenger-side front fender, police decal on doors, Guide fog lights up front, maybe some bumper guards (if I can find some for a resonable price)etc., etc., etc. | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 | Tom, Take a look at Lue\'s Blues 1951 paddy wagon. I don't know if it's original or not. My 1941 in the Stovebolt Gallery My Photo AlbumBut I tried, didn't I? ... At least I did that. I've discovered Rich Espinozas 50 Chevy Panel truck Paddy Wagon about a year ago. I thought of doing mine first, then to research and see if anyone else had done it - I found Rich Espinoza's! His is really really nice - and mine hopefully will some day be just as nice, but with a little more of a "street rod" theme to it, rather than stock | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 | Hi Down2sea Lue's Blues 1951 Police Paddy Wagon Panel truck is ALMOST exactly how I invisioned mine - except mine will look a little more "street rodder-ish". How did you know about Lue's? | | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 | Tom - Lue's Blues is a great venue just down the road from my home. But you could also go to a junkyard and take one off an older cop car or fire truck/ambulance. At the moment I am working on getting a civil defense siren. | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 200 | My conection is on the web.
