I have seen pictures of burbs that have bright trim on those windows but never seen one in the 'flesh'. ( I don't get out much!!)
Have they had them chromed or was that a factory option?

I've often wondered if the trim around the side windows had been painted at some time, or if more stainless was an option.

The Chevrolet Truck Data Books indicate that bright metal side door window reveal was not available in 49 and 50 on Chevrolet Suburbans and Canopy Express. That also seems to be the case in 1954/55 for Chevrolet Suburbans. RPO 390 Deluxe Equipment and RPO 393 Chrome Equipment did not include bright side window reveals for Suburbans (but the Suburban 390G did include bright front window, ventipane, and rear window reveals). So.. it sounds like the AD suburbans with "shiny" trim around the side back windows have had painted trim chromed.
I thought that the stainless trim on fenders and back door windows was only on panels.. and I think 1949 or so. Seems strange that this cosmetic option would be available on the 'utility' model
