Just wondering how many folks out there own a 60-66 K10 Suburban. What was the first year that GM offered 4 wheel drive on a Suburban?

60 was the first year for factory 4x4. Proir to that would have been an aftermarket NAPCO conversion done by the dealer. Not a whole lot of 60-66 4x4 burbs I know of.

Actually it was '57, '56 for GMC. The parts were still outsourced from NAPCO, but the assembly was done at GMs plants.
A little 4x4 trivia-GMC was the first manufacturer to offer a v8 engine and automatic tranny in a 4x4. I know the Jeep guys like to claim they did it first in '62, but GMC offered those options in '56, 6 years earlier.

I have a 65 4x4 burb. Wouldn't have anything else. I now have a 396 big block in mine. The motor likes to go fast but the gas tank can't keep up with it.
