Hi,
I have a '61 and want to switch from the sliding rear windows to the fixed style. All 4 windows, if possible.
Anyone know what's required? Anyone want to swap their fixed for set of sliding? I have all 4 rebuild kits, new rubber, felt, etc.
Thanks, Chris

I don't know what's involved in the swap, but if you want to sell two of the rebuild kits, I'd be interested.
That doesn't really help you out with your question though...I would bet a factory assembly manual would answer the question. I don't have one, but they're listed on ebay all the time. I need to get one myself!

I would buy the other two(my burb only has two sliders),,you can have the flat glass cut at any decent glass shop out of laminate, shouldn't cost too much, the weatherstrip is a common variety,,brian

I just removed the a pair of one piece fixed windows and it was held in with just the rubber gasket. Like mentioned above, any glass shop can cut the glass. It's the gasket that they may not have. Best to check with the specialty vendors for the gasket.
BTW I have a pair of sliders available but no locks.

Don't mean to jump on this post, but I just acquired a '61, which has 4 sliders in the back. I am in need of all 4 window locks, if you are able to convert to one piece glass I'd be very interested in your old stuff.
