I asked a few weeks ago but was out of town and did not receive the input… I have a set of bumpers I think are to a 1939 GMC Panel Truck. The rear has the center bend and they both have 2 groves approximately 1/4 inch wide through the center of both blades. I believe that they will fit 1939 through 1946 Chevy and GMC Panel Trucks… Question is what year and model is correct?? On page 99 of"The First 75 Years of Transportation Products" published by Automobile Quarterly there is a picture of a 1941 GMC Suburban and it shows a plain bumper with no paint recess.
This book was given out to all GM employees in 1983. They show up at flea markets now and then.

I guess they would fit both Chevy and GMC 38thru40 but are correct for the 40 only. Right? The front bumper and single mounting bracket is also very different than Chevy. Canadian GMC's may be another story. | | |
