Hi guys, this is my 1st post. I have someone who wants to give me a linkpin set that goes to a 55 olds 88. Will they fit my 52 Chevy panel truck? Any input would be welcome, thanks! Jeff

hey Jeff, welcome to the forums - what's a 'linkpin'? if you mean king pins , not likely - Carter has\'em , but the cars and trucks are different steering and suspension

got a pic of your truck online? we love pics here, and can never see enough panels! grin you're encouraged to send a short writeup and some pics to the editor for the gallery too

Bill

Thanks Red! No its not a 1 ton. Its a 1/2 ton 3100 Thriftmaster type. I think the engine is a 1962. Its still a 6 cyl. stovebolt type. i think its bigger than the orig. Has a 12v.system now w/turn signals. Although the guages all blew out [save the bat.gage] I guess cuz they were the 6v. ones. Jeff

The stock guages are all mechanical except the amp guage and the gas guage. If your oil pressure and water temp guages don't work its not likely the problem is directly related to the 12 volt conversion.

Well describe the symptoms... Do they simply do nothing?

First I'd check to make sure the tubes are intact and connected, and have no kinks.
