The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Panels 'N Burbs Finally found me one

Decided some time ago I need to a panel to go with my 37 pickup. Well, I pick up my 52 Panel in two weeks. NO, I'm not telling you where yet! Not running but some work has been done and I believe it to be in good shape. I think I'm the fourth owner. Originally an Iowa truck. Can't give away any secrets until it actully sitting in MY shop. I do need a passenger side door. Aren't 1952 and 1953 the same...fenders the same? This is my first panel. What else is the same on panels and pickups? I had a 50 once but that was long ago.
Yipee, I finally got one!!!

The panel and pick-up share the same sheetmetal from the doors forward. The doors are the same from 52-55 with the push button door handles. The rear fenders are unique to the panel/suburban and caonpy express. The rear and front bumpers are the same on a panel and suburban, the front bumper is the same as a pickup but not the rear. Seats are different as well as the seat riser.......g

Thanks Gmoniz, i thought so but good to have a second opinion.....the right door has no wing vent so I figure its from a 50 or 51..if they fit it. If not someone tore out the wing vent...I'll know when I go pick up the panel.

Most of the rear sheetmetal is the same between a Sub and a half-ton panel. The Subs have the windows cut in, and the trim around the windows on the inside. Panels only had barn doors, Subs were available clamshell or barn door. The front seats are different between the two - panels had buckets.
