All the '54s (and a few '55s) have serious identity problems.

I'll say. I saw Todd Collin's nice '53 Canopy listed there as a '54.

This is why, I think, linking to other sites is generally considered to be rude. In this case, this particular (and parasitic)site seems to be comprised of photos lifted from other sites (like this one) and I don't recall authorizing anyone to use our pictures.

You'd think they'd at least get the years right.

The last '55 1st series Suburban pictured is mine. That was taken a week after I bought it and I know I showed that shot around a bit, but I sure don't remember giving it to Yahoo!

I don't think I'd mind at all if they included a link to my web site, but they don't...

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...

Sorry, when I linked to the Suburban site, I had no idea it was considered to be rude. I have seen many links to cool eBay auctions in this forum and didn't think much about it. It won,t happen again.

I love the site, thanks. I remember checking it out when I was shopping for a truck. It is nice to see a lot of other trucks. I figure, as long as they aren't selling anything there is no harm done.

more panel and suburban pics

I think that posting other site pictures that reference the site name is good. It allows others to see pictures of truck and old metal. If they have posted pictures without permission you can contact them and resolve your issue with them. if the Stovebolt staff does not want us to include these sites please tell me and I will not post them anymore. I have enjoyed looking at other sites that I have learned about on the Stovebolt pages. I am glad the Stovebolt staff has turned this site back into a truck/old iron only resource again! Thanks.

I've done something similar to whoever it is that has that site (collecting photos). Most of the photos I have were lifted from e-bay or taken myself. Very few of them do I actually know who owns the truck. I only put them out there so people like ourselves can look and get ideas and see that there are a lot of these trucks out there. I keep my link as part of my profile here on the stovebolt and in the past have mentioned that if you seee your truck and would like it removed I will be happy to do so. I've only recieved two e-mails about about specific trucks in my photo "collection" and was able to respond to one and unfortunately the other the e-mail bounced back. When I started my project over 3 years ago I would have loved to be able to find such "collections". I obviously found the gallery here but only wanted more.......mine is limited to 41-46 years Chevy and GMC with one exception of a extremely rare '46 Olds Woody a friend owns.

That all being said, I'll offer it again: if your truck is in my photos and you would like it removed or have the photo name changed to something specific, just let me know.
