I'm looking for the two hinges for the upper half of the clam shell. Bottom hinges I have are OK but they could stand to be replaced also. I'm also looking for any sites dealing in 41-46 Burb parts, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. | | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 96 Member | Member Joined: May 2004 Posts: 96 | What years will work? This will bring the thread back to the top and maybe help with your needs. | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 28 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 28 | I'm not exactly sure but I imagine 1941 - 1946 would be the same since most Art Deco series have interganable parts for other sheetmetal areas. | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,781 Master Gabster | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,781 | Originally posted by GrantW: I have a 45 Burb with rear clam shell doors, not the usual barn door style. The AD upper gate may be heavier, hence they may be different too. I will try and take a picture of mine. Do you have a picture of what you are looking for? .......g | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 28 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 28 | Sorry, don't have any photos handy. Not sure if AD will work but I'll try to find one and take a look. Go ahead and send a photo if you have one. Thanks.

What's left of the one in my 45 are pretty bad but I'll try to get a digital picture over the holiday weekend and send it out next Monday, providing it isn't raining or snowing all weekend here in Albuquerque, New Mexico
BTW, nice to find an active vintage Burb group active here at STOVEBOLT.

I know they are from the wagon, but you never know what GM part will fit. Thinking along those lines, have you checked the interchange books to see what vehicle may be a donor? | | |
