I'm installing the side cowl door mechanism in my '49 Burb. It doesn't appear to have a ratchet closing device like the top cowl door mechanism. I can't secure it. Am I missing a part or have a done something wrong with the install?

On my '50 Burb, the inside of the cab has a slot with a knotch at one end to keep it closed. Mine doesn't ratchet either, I'm guessing the friction of the lever and the wind will keep it open.
