old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 11 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 11 | I hope you all can help me out. I have posted once before and said that I picked up a 57 burb. I really haven't posted since then since I am restoring an old house right now and haven't really had a chance to get into the burb yet. It is killing me having it sit in the garage and not be able to work on it. My main question is there is a Danbury Mint model for sale on E-bay for the 57 burb.... I was wondering if anyone knew if it was a very good representation of the original. I would really like to buy it as a visual guide to help me in the restoration. The link is below. Oh yeah. I hope nobody tries out bidding me since I told you about it.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=782&item=6940352054&rd=1 Please let me know soon. Thanks.... Oh yeah I will post pictures soon of the actual one I have to work on. They are on my home computer and I am at work now... | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | I received a christmas classic booklet but this one was not in it, looks like $115 to $125 would be a good average of the other stuff in the booklet,,I dont think that I have ever seen a 57 burb, but then , a lot of things I have not seen.good luck with your projects,,Fred Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | I forgot to add, check out the 57 surb in our gallery, Jim Forbes,, I could not get the page up but my computer has been acting up...Fred Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | 55/59 Suburbans ebay Although better than most models unless you want to have one that looks like yours, I would stick with manuals and photos for references. I would wait on this one though, too many people bidding on it for Christmas presents. They come up often on ebay, and cheaper too. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,780 | suburban models Sorry for the last post, that's what happens when you are in a hurry....... :o | | |
