| | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 219 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 219 | Thought my cluster was a lost cause 'till I cleaned it. I painted the back panel with semi-gloss black. The numbers on the '66 are on the clear face plate. I compounded that, and, painted the bezel. The thing looks new!! I also cleaned the mounting screws. They were all corroded due to the dissimilar metal. Now the gas gauge works!! For any of you guys with gauge/grounding problems with your cluster, this is the first place to look. You know, where the bezel screws to the cluster.
