Hello Gentlemen, and ladies, of course,
Earlier this year, I ordered from CPP new upper control arm mounting bolts for my project 1966 C-10. I am waiting on them, as they seem to be currently back ordered out of unobtanium. In the process of getting the correct bolts ordered, CPP sent me the wrong ones. The stock bolts for my truck are a hybrid carriage bolt with serrations and 1/2-20 fine pitch theads. The bolts CPP originall sent me are considerably larger and longer, with 9/16-? fine pitch threads.
Here is my question. Do these larger bolts belong to a larger Chevrolet truck, such as 3/4 ton or larger? I have repro's of all the maunals for my 1966, which go into the 80 series trucks, as well as the assembly manual. However, none of these list sizes of the upper control arm mounting bolts.
So, I turn to the vast collective knowledge of the stovebolt world for identification help. These bolts are brand new and quite spiffy. If they are useful to someone, I would like to offer them. Otherwise, they go into one of my many 'magic bolt bins'/
Thanks for your time,
Seth K. Pyle
