For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 20 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: May 2005 Posts: 20 | after putting a MII ifs on the front of the '54, the rear end is next. I'm re-gearing for highway speeds, but still want to lower it. I know pulling every other leaf spring used to be a cheap (free) way of doing this, and was wondering if it's still the best way to achieve a lower stance. the truck is never used with a "full load" in the bed so I wont be compromising safety in that regard, but my shady shade tree compatriot thinks I'd be committing suicide if I mess with the springs. any thoughts?
sure love my old Chevy.

I put poly liner in between the leaves too. Also have air shocks on the rear in case I need to load the truck. You can also use lowering blocks available from most of the suppliers. | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 20 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: May 2005 Posts: 20 | thanks guys. i think this is what i'm gonna do. i appreciate the input.
