Well after changing my mind several times I went and bought it. It's a 1941 GMC CC-100 I believe. Now I've got lots of work ahead of me when I retire. Dave web page

SWEET! I dream of a truck like that with time and money to go with it. What are you going to do with it?

Dave, I see that you have contracted the Art Deco
virus, caution their is no known cure. If you get one you will want more soon. Best of luck with the project. If you need anything let us know.

I'm still in the planning stages, I don't want to hot rod but I would like to upgrade some, I need to find a lower grill which hasn't been easy so far, I've only just begun. I would like to find a GMC engine but would settle for a 235 or 261. Who has the biggest selection of Art Deco parts? Dave

That is a very nice find! There are many rewarding hours in that for you. I really enjoyed the photos. there are many suppliers but I would guess that Chevs of the 40s and Jim Carter will have a great selection.

I spy an airplane wing in the pic, also it looks like a very nice hanger. I hear there are more pilots in AK than non pilots. I have over 1,600 hrs., love to fly, and love my 'bolts too. I'd like to drive up to AK one day, but have to get the 'bolt more reliable first. Good luck on your project, I have 2 GMC's, they are great trucks.

Hail Homer, congrats on the Art Deco GMC! I can appreciate your trouble finding the lower grill, I'm looking for the same thing. I might be able to help with the engine, though. I've got the original still in mine, but it's going to be replaced with a Pontiac V8. It ran the last time I checked , but that was over a year ago. PM me if you'd like, maybe we can pool resources.

I think that is quite a stretch saying there are more pilots than non pilots but there are lots of pilots. Yes that is my hanger and I really like it,so far it has become a great storage area, planes boats trucks snowmachines welders and anything else that needs to stay warm and dry. Dave
