Need 8 hole 16 inch wheels to replace the 15 inch split rim man killers that are on it now. Where can I go to get them. Have some that will work on the rear but they hit the tie rod ends on the front. Need help

And many, many times and again, and again, and currently I might add!
Big problem Don, quick answer is that the easiest fix is to use adaptors. If you find a better way let all of us eight luggers in on the secret.

Welcome Don to the Stovebolt!! Good luck with your truck and its wheels and tires.
But... I don't know why so many folks are against the original 2-piece wheels that our 3/4 tons came with. I like mine. This is the second 50 Chevy 3600 that I put radials on those "man killers" with no problems. I know, most car tire shops will not work on them, but almost any truck/trailer/farm tire shop will - because they are still in use. As truckernix said, and Denny, it's been discussed many times so please do a search of topics on this board. Some have found that certain years of Dodge and Ford wheels work well with ample clearance and some have used trailer wheels with 0 inset. Yokohama makes radial tires in 7.00-15 size that are narrow and tall and fit the 5.5" wide rims.......many people run radials on the split-rim/2-piece rims without any problems.

Frank, did you ever get the speedo fixed? I used light grease several times on mine but didn't fix the problem until I also greased the insert that goes into the speedo itself. Worth a try if you are still having problems.

If you have found some OEM wheels that work in the rear, the centers could be removed and moved so that they work in the front. A competent machine shop should be able to do this. Also a tie rod up grade may help your clearence problem.

These wheels can be dangerous but you should be able to find a tire shop in your area to work on them. Its been covered on here many a times. Also bias ply tires are still available. And some shops will even put a radial on ther for you.

For Steel Wheels You can also use steel 8 Lug Wheels from a *ord, or *odge. I would reccomend 16x5, and you will still have problems in the front with wheel clearance against the tie rod ends. So you can try wheel spacers made br Mr. Gasket, they make 8 Lug Spacers in 1/4" just make sure you have enough threads left on the studs, do a google search on these. I was about to go this route when I found someone in town to work on my wheels.
