Can anyone tell me where I can buy good shocks for my 3804?

I didn't think 3800s had shocks. You might get a better response if you listed a year model, too.

My 1951 3804 has front tube shocks that can be found at NAPA, No shock on rear end. My 1948 3804 parts truck has lever action shocks on front, none on rear. I do not know who sells the lever action front shocks. Jerry

My 51 1 Ton has tube shocks up front and none in the rear. I bought my front shocks from Jim Carter. It is interesting to note that mine has shock mounts on the rear axle but not on the frame. I would guess that this is because the 3/4 Ton had shocks and used the same axle housing.

Thanks for the replies, I have a 1948 chevy registered as a 47 with 9 ft. bed. Yesterday I noticed the rear housing had mounts but not the frame anywhere. So guess it don't need them back there.

Double acting rear shock absorbers were a regular production option for the 3800. I'm sure you could make something work if you think you need them.
