I am restoring a 66 C-10 with factory air. The vehicle has headers and so there is no compressor or brackets in the pile of spare parts. I have all the internals and controls. Does someone make brackets/mounts to mount he compressor in the original spot? Or should I get the factory manifold and go back to the original? I am open for suggestions. Thank You!

You should be able to use the compressor, alternator and power steering brackets from any truck or even car up through I guess about 80 or so. Just make sure you get all of the brackets and mounting harware like bolts, spacers, pulleys. Going with a later models brackets you may have to change water pumps since there is a short and a long pump. I think that 80 was the last year for the long ac compressor after that GM went to that pancake self eating compressor.
