Hope this helps. | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 | I know of no one w/a big block that gets better than about 10MPG, my 350/700r4/3.42 gets 18mpg easy. | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | My 454/400 turbo has done as well as ten, but its in a 1-ton four-wheel drive. If mileage is a real concern stay with teh small block unless you really need the power.
And you can ship me the 454/400t!

That would include cost of the vehicle including interest paid, insurance, maintenance, and fuel. Does anyone know what that amount comes to today. Knowing the "real" cost per mile should interest those that drive 60+ miles a day to work.

Boy ain't that the truth. My little Yota gets 30+mpg, but you can run faster than it will accelerate. | | |
