For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 553 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2002 Posts: 553 | I recently bought another truck. According to the VIN, I it's a '42 Chevy 3/4 ton PU. However one of the rear fenders is odd. It has a bead around the wheel opening. Could the one fender be from a '39? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | John - If it has a bead around it, it is probably a 37-38 fender. I can identify with a picture. If it's on a 3/4 ton truck, the wheel opening might be small looking. If it looks normal, it could be a big truck fender, but that is unlikely since they are more scarce then chicken lips. If it's in good condition, I might be interested in that fender. Send me a picture. Don't forget me! Joe
