OK i'm confused. maybe someone out here can point me in the right direction .i have not had a lot of luck finding spec's on my old truck on the title i have its listed as a 1 ton. one book i read said the t-14's were a new 1/2 ton model for gmc that year the same as chevy save for a beefer frame bigger motor 230ci olds and a foot longer bed 7 foot instead of 6 foot .i can not find the vin but i do have a chassis # model # and wieght # all on what looks the the orginal Manufactures plate. that being mounted inside the cab firewall right in the center of it.and i did find that gmc made a "A" AND "B" Model that year but again no luck finding any more specs on either .thanks in advance. http://rides.webshots.com/album/560224270HHjrid

GMC made their first 1/2 ton truck in 1936, model T-14. It had a 126 inch wheelbase and was powered by an Oldsmobile 213 engine.
For 1937 the T-14 came in two wheelbases, A was 112 inches and B was 126 inches. It was powered by an Oldsmobile 230 engine.
The ID tag on the interior firewall was the "VIN" tag for your truck. The same ID number was stamped on the frame on the passenger side just forward of the axle. There is also an engine number stamped at the top front side of the block on the drivers side near the water pump. The original ID number on the title may use one or the other of these numbers. There were 23274 T-14's produced in 1937.

Rusty Thanks found the #s on the frame and yes it does match the plate inside the cab.still not sure if i have a 1/2 ton or a 1 ton? and thanks for the gmc site i also am checking that out .
