Hi guys,

I had my '51 Chevy 3604 in thew Wilber, Nebraska Czech festival parade this weekend (it's a big deal here esp. if your Czech) and I have some new pics posted in my Webshots.

My question is, does anyone have any pics of what an original tire jack for a 1947-1953 A.D. truck looks like?

I found all the old tire irons and hand crank under my seat when I bought the truck a year ago but no jack. I've seen some old jacks at local antique stores and was wondering what they would look like.

I'm guessing fairly good sized based on how high these trucks sit off the ground.

I appreciate any and all help.

Thanks, Jeff.

That is the correct style of jack but different sized trucks had different sizes of jacks (different bottle heights and lift heights). I have the dimensions for 1954 - maybe someone else has them for 1951 3/4 ton trucks (it's in the restoration pack specifications sheets). I'll look up and post the dimensions, if you want them

The picture is different then the jack I found under the seat of my 50 3604. It was a hand crank bottle/screw jack but the top of the mast/screw has an attachment that can swing/hinge down out of the way. It seemd to fit the rear axle better with the thing up and fit the front axle better with it down...???
