Anyone know how to remove the front and rear windshield on a 66 chev truck? Doing body work and want to make sure there isn't any cancer behind the gaskets.

Well, I'll tell you what I did. first thing is to take your time. you don't want to crack it.
I used a utility knife and just started to work outside where the glass is on the rubber. I kept peeling it away and slowly exposed the glass.
Then I got the boss to keep her hands outside so the windshield wouldn't fall and gently pushed from the inside. Worked OK.
I did the same with the rear window too as both were good glass. Needed new rubber anyway.
Cab has been sandblasted now awaiting paint.

Oh, one more thing. Do not let the utility knife touch the glass. It will break. Cut the rubber outside this area. no screwdrivers either.

I usually cut on the inside, using a sharp blade, less risk to the glass. Just cut off the lip inside the truck, the glass will push out, have someone catch it as sovagary said.
