| | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 3 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 3 | I have decided to do an S-10 chassis swap for my 50 chevy. I just got the frame, 4.3 liter v6, 5 spd tranny, and the guy let me switch out the rear end for a blazer rear end. All for $300.
I got it from a local wrecking yard and he has several more long bed s-10's if anyone wants them.
I need some WD-40 and a breaker bar!

Same setup as youes but stock rearend. I have a Winters Quickchange that I will be using.

I'd hold out for a 4x4 frame, tho.. just so I could drive the truck year round.
That 4.3L engine is a good motor. Next best thing to a 350, IMO. I've had several, and they never gave me a bit of trouble.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
