It's a 1949 GMC 300 with a side tipper. I talked with the current owner and it's got a rebuilt Chevy 235 (don't know the year), a new clutch and the seat has been reupholstered. He says that he's been using it almost daily in his landscaping business and it runs like a champ. It looks pretty solid to me with exception of the passenger rear cab corner which is rusted through. Also, it's a 5 window.
Why didn't I bring it home? I was already driving another rig and I couldn't think of anywhere to park it legally in my neighborhood. I'm toying with the question of where I could park it even as I write this. With it being a running specimen it could come in handy as I work on the other two (I have the 49 1-ton that shown at my signature line and a 55 F*rd F-100 Panel Delivery that I got just recently that I don't have any pictures of yet) but then I still have to run it by my wife.
I thought it was a normal tilt bed too until I got under it and saw both the hydraulic cylinders on the passenger side.
