We took the family to a weekly car show last night and the 66 was running like crap. Turns out my plug wires were resting on the headers and I burnt through 2 of them. Truck doesn't like a 6-cylinder too much when it is used to 8.

I changed out the valve covers and now they rest down too low. Looks like its a garage day.

While you're at it, get some plug wire guides to keep 'em all isolated from each other. Makes for a nice, clean-looking job as well.

I got a great deal on my first truck when I was a teenager- the thing would buck and studder going up hills. I bought new plugs and wires on the way home from buying it and had it running perfectly when I went back to pay the guy his balance. He was a little steamed.

I had a truck that had a crack in the coating on almost new wires. Couldnt figure out why it was shuddering so bad until my dad stuck a screw driver in there and got the sh*t shocked out of him. Needless to say its always on the tuneup list now!
