Turns out my plug wires were resting on the headers and I burnt through 2 of them. Truck doesn't like a 6-cylinder too much when it is used to 8.
I changed out the valve covers and now they rest down too low. Looks like its a garage day.

I bought new plugs and wires on the way home from buying it and had it running perfectly when I went back to pay the guy his balance. He was a little steamed.
