I've got a '68 L6 292 in a Chevy pickup with a 390 cfm Holley and Offy intake. The Holley, a type of 4160, sits sideways to it's normal fore'n'aft V8 set-up. My problem is I don't get WOT with the current hard pushrod and bellcrank configuration and it's about to bust out after 25-odd years. I want to use a cable set-up like the '71/'72s. I got a 1972 (cable-type) gas pedal [censored]'y from the junkers -- now I just need to route it from a (new) hole in the firewall over the valvecover and down at the carb linkage...
Anybody been there and done that before? How long a cable do I need?

Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292 just for GP
