I don't remember reading on the forum of any local get togethers of Bolters to view each others progress with truck projects. Have there been any such formal or informal group meetings on a regular basis? Anybody in the Austin, Texas area interested?

there's been a semi-annual reunion it seems at some of the larger national shows. I read in the newsletter (current and previous) about a couple of get togethers. One is coming up in September near here in Winchester VA I think. Anyhow Peggy mentioned if you do organize one...try and maybe do it with a larger one coming up. that way we can help promote stovebolters to the public. Here's a site I like to look at for upcoming events. www.carshownews.com. You can search by state and so on. also Hemmings.com has a calender of events. Hope this helps. smile

We have had a reunion the last 2 years in conjunktion with the All Truck Nationals in Kansas City. It was great last year. Peggy & John came from Maryland. We had several Bolters drove there stovebolts here from the Texas area. This year it will be Sept. 7-9. It,s going to be bigger & better with a swap meet & car corral.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
