On a 58 gmc 336 engine, 2 barrel carb. After I get it warmed up and park it in the garage, it smells the whole place up. The in the carb seals well. It also doesnt have the exhaust heat riser valves in the exhaust (still stock manifolds)

Do i need to rebuild the carb again (it was rebuilt 3000k ago and 2 years)??

Do i need to make some heat riser valves (i cant find them anywhere)??

Any other sugestions on what it might be?

I think it has done this from day 1 that i owned it (i didnt have an attached garage before)

Thanks,
Brian

make sure when its rebuilt this time to use viton tips on the needle valves pull the air cleaner after you shut it of and look in the carb with a flashlight bet you will see gas dripping in for a few minutes

Look at the fuel system from front to back for any wet spots, only takes a few drops to smell the garage up. Check the float level if to high it will let the carb dribble fuel.
