| | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 | Just finished taking the drums off the 50 3600, a job in itself. but the question is, on the one 50 it has the huck brakes. no surprise there, but when they came off the spring was broke on one and had to force the adjuster on the other, so of course you know that that one is trash.... so went down and brought up the other 50 figured we could use the parts of it, well guess again it has the bend ix set up,, don't understand that one either...well still have the 47 4100 and it looks like the huck brakes on that... question is will the parts cross from the 47 over to the 50 before i take them all apart.... cannot find my books since we moved into the new house.. any help ..... | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . On the ½-ton it involves drilling out some holes in the spindle. The top holes on the spindle need to be drilled out to 1/2", and that's about it. Think I'd repair the Hucks. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 394 | thanks for the replys, what through me off was that both of the 50's are 3/4 tons. don't figure why one had huck and the other bendix. thought maybe someone had did a swap before but everything looks stock. will still bring up the 4100 and take a look at the huck setup on that one before i change everything over, the brakes look good just need a spring and one ajuster side for the back. will let you know that outcome.. thanks for the feed back | | |
