For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 210 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 210 | I've fixed the paint on my brother in laws 54 chev pickup 3 TIMES. The tank keeps leaking out of the cap and wrinkling the paint. Question is: Should the small vent tube in the filler neck be on the top or the bottom. If it is supposed to be on the top, we have the wrong neck because it won't work flipped over.(attach to the tank). We've used new caps and still have the leak when near full. Thanks for any help.
