It seems to work fine other than it is leaking gasoline out both sides of the throttle shaft (shaft going through carb with throttle valve). I really cannot see what prevented gas from leaking here in the first place. The shaft just slides through carb with no seals or ??? Anyone ever have this problem or know what I can do to solve it. Thanks in advance.

The fuel has to come from somewhere!!!
.I am not saying that the throttle shafts are not worn,but the fuel has to be overflowing the
float-bowl to get to the throttle shaft.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.

After it leaks a while it turns black and varnish like and "seals" up the leak. No more problem, just ugly!  :rolleyes:
