Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 1 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 1 | I have a 1946 Chevy pickup body that I want to set onto a S10 frame. Has anyone completed this idea on an Art Deco truck before? I am unable to find any information on this style truck, everyone seems to do it on a AD style truck. I need the measurements for making the body and cab mounts. Please forward me your ideas and experiance in this matter. Thanks, Mark

Not long ago somebody posted a link to a webshots style gallery where someone had managed to put a '39 thru '46 1/2 ton truck body and bed on an early to mid 80's s10 4x4.. and it looked good.. the only clues that it was even on an s10 4x4 frame was the tell tale transfer case lever on the floor and the instrumentation cluster.
So it can be done.. just hasn't been real well documented.
I'll see if I can dig up those pics.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

When I first joined up he was so talented and kept a picture trail and gave me lots of insight. He stretched his front fenders about 3 or 4 inches to accomodate his front end. Maybe his picture trail will help you in your decision. His pics below. Had put it in the 'truck parts for sale' in Swap Meet because people use them under the AD trucks but they moved it to the Modern GM and non GM.... anyway, if you want one---
