It has not run yet...Its natural to be a little leery of a "fresh rebuilt engine" and the reason for selling it...its out of a 50 AD, and the owner decided on more power, so He installed a V/8....if it runs as good as it looks, I'll be happy...Its easy to see the engine was apart when painted, as there is no paint on any of the new gaskets...I also have a 4-speed trans...Bill B 1952 Chevy 3104 Shortbed 5-window Remember; Politicians and diapers both need to be changed often, and for the same reason.....

What was done to it? What was the cost? Got any pictures? When I go cruisin' in the old truck....women smile, men weep and dogs beg for rides.

I bought the engine from the brother of the guy that owned it...I have always looked at most people as being honest, and will continue to do so until they give Me reason not to...The story is, the brother owns a 50 chev. and He installed a flatbed on it to haul hay bails to customers...He and His neighbor ( who earns His living as a mechanic) overhauled the 216...The brother said, if I wasn't satisfied to bring the engine back for a refund...At some point in life You got to trust people, and thats precisely where I am at on this one....I turned the engine with no plugs in it, and its pretty tight...It has been degreased and painted with whatever paint was on the shelf, and all the gaskets are new, indicating the engine was apart when painting...
