I have a pair of original GMC hood props and there is was a piece of fabric similar to flat hood lacing, about 3/4" wide and 1/8" thick, one end of the strap was bolted through a hole in the fabric strap and the metal hood prop and the other end of the fabric wrapped around the hood latch rod and the fabric itself was bolted together. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 | Those things are rare, I've only seen one set that even had the straps. If you don't get an answer you could figure it out as the strap picks up the hood prop as you lift.
