Some good news. I just got a call from Redistrip metal cleaners and they want to put my truck on there 25 anniversary calender. Going to have to get out the polish and shine her up.

Will there be babes posing with your truck too?
That would be double bonus grin

Congratulations! Your truck looks real nice.

Congrats. I like the way your wider fenders and running boards turned out. You would almost have to park it next to another 41-46 to notice the difference.

Sublime,

Congrats!! You've got a great looking truck worthy of many a calendar. That's a cool color you painted it. What color and and what paint did you use?

If there are babes posing with your truck, can we come to help with the camera setup?

Very very nice. That's a very good looking box. You wouldn't happen to have plans with a material list would you? I have a 42 1/2 ton and I'm debating weather to rebuild my original box or go with wood.

It's always nice when someones hard earned efforts are appreciated by others. You did a great job on your truck and you deserve the credit. It looks like you not only drive it, but work it too. That makes it even more special. My hat would be off to you, (but I don't wear one). grin

Congrats from another Art Deco nut. smile

If it all works out, I would like to buy a copy of that calendar.

John

Thank you so much everyone. The truck was widened 8 inches to fit the 5/4 ton 4x4 chassis. There is 22 feet of welding in each fender. I just have to say if there will be babes posing on the truck they wont be wearing much as I don't want any scratches : ) The flat deck was bought already built( got it for $250) just a few modifications for the ladder rack. The truck is a daily driver and used for work I am a roofing contractor. All of are materials are delivered so it is just for tools and ladder. I will be hot rodding my 1940 GMC for pleasure use as I like this style better than the 46 (sorry if I offend any one)The paint is ppg radiance base color purple with orange glow top coat. total 16 coats and about 3 grand for materials. Again thanks everyone. all that sanding pays of with comments like yours

Well congrats on the calender shoot.....
After looking at your pic's.... The best place I can thi9nk of to do the photo's, would be at Van Dusen gardens..... on the grass at the bottom of the hill.... letting the grassy hill become the backdrop....... Ahhh but thay's just my thoughts...lol they'll choose their own location..... and I certainly hope you get ample copies of the images they take....(with permission/license for your own useage.....)
