I am having trouble with my steering It's difficult to turn standing still. It might just be my mind or my age. I checked the lube in the stearing box It seems low and it not a fluid but more like a heavy grease. I have oversize radial tires on my truck. I saw one post where someone used lucas oil additive in his box i don't know if he was kidding or not he said it steered like power steering any suggestion here.... Peter. Like i say it might be my age but it sure is tight to steer....

A bigger footprint and "armstrong" steering will make it hard to turn anyway. If the arms don't pull it you'll just have to learn to steer while rolling a bit, worked wonders for me :o , but I had to learn to think ahead a bit while parking.

Run the highest permissible tire pressure in the front. When you grease your kingpins, take the weight off the tires with a jack. That will get more lubricant where it counts, at the bottom.

Power assist steering might help- Basically its a hydraulic piston attached to the centerlink which give you a little boost when you start turning the steering wheel in either direction. They are a bit spendy, but a few people have posted on this site saying they love it.
