It had no engine so i used a spare 350 I had around. I have never seen motor mounts like these though. the horns from the frame have a single hole in them on the top. my experience has been with a a different style motor mount. are these "clamshell mounts" when I Google mounts I can only find the plate that mounts to the motor. I have that part handled. maybe I don't know the correct name. Anyhow. i need to find the frame horn side of the motor mounts. what are they called, where can i find them.

The mounts bolt to the block with short 3/8 USS bolts & a 5/8 USS bolt comes up from the bottom of the perch. I always cut or drill the hole in the perch larger. Sometimes the hole doesn,t quite line up & can cause some choice words. Use a large thick flat washer under the head of the bolt.

I think I 'll take a break. so far an engine hoist, come along and pry bar aren't getting that second mount in. Are both mounts the same distance from the firewall? GM does have one exception and that's the 292 six, the passenger side is about an 1 1/2 forward of the drivers side. 292s arn't usually found in 1/2 tons, but after 34 years who knows. My two bits.
