For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 331 Member | | Member Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 331 | The odometer just hit 22,00 miles and still turning heads with my 46 Chevy. Time to get to work on my 40 GMC. For those that didn't see the progress pictures, have a look here http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sublime589/my_photos I have changed the gears to 373 and installed a Detroit locker. The truck really hooks up now. When the weather gets a little nicer I will buy some new rims for summer and keep the old ones for winter driving. I just joined the Bolt as you were posting your pics and enjoyed following your progress and remember waiting to see your next progess report. Made a lot of progress on mine since then but nowhere near finishing. Thanks again

Haven't been around much, to much work and lots of cruising when I am not working My truck is a daily driver and half the people are glad to see you using your truck, and the other half think your nuts to drive it to work. I sprayed the bottom of the cab and underneath exposed parts with lineX bed liner so I could drive her in the winter. Very happy with the product. Chev4t6 thanks, just keep plugging away and you will get her done. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Love the color, reminds me of 57 chevy copper. What was with the propane tank on the "break in" picture?

The color is a custom mix base with a orange glow top color from ppg radiance line. 15 coats including the 3 coats of clear. In certain lights it looks like it is 4 different colors | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 311 | GREAT looking truck! The box you made for it is what I'd like to build for my '70 4x4, for another work truck. Do you have anymore pictures of it? (if you don't mind me copying your work). Great job!
