Remember, the K series trucks were the second generation of the "High-Boy" look, and tall, skinny, traction tires are what they were meant to have. My first instinct is to say that 36's shouldn't be too big a problem as long as they aren't really wide...If they are really wide, then you don't have many options. Gotta get your travel somehow, and obviously an inch of clearance aint gonna cut it. One good bounce, and you'll have some new fender work to do...

You could just jack the back of the frame up three inches to see if you like the look and have adequate clearance. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 513 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 513 | 1949 Chevy 3600 Flatbed all orginal 1964 gmc 4000 1973 gmc 6000 2005 chevy duramax 4x4 1994 chevy 1500 Trucks are GM and Tractors are Orange "I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom." - General George S. Having said that, I did make a 3" cab lift for my truck to help clear my transmission. I used 2" X 3" tube with 1/4" wall. I'm pretty sure it will be as strong as if the cab were bolted where it was supposed to be. | | |
