Got pics? | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | I got a shift lever from a mid 60,s 4 speed. I cut it to the desired lenght & welded 2 nuts the thread size of the stump comeing out of the trans. I ground the corners off the nuts & painted it all black. I screwed it on the stub & tightened the lock nut. Works good & looks good. This is in a 58 step side. I can get a photo when I get back to the shop. I have been iced in for 4 days now. I miss my Stovebolts. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. I'll mail you a couple of pictures and you can judge for yourself. Joe
