Hello Boys!!!,,I have a 49 GMC truck,im thinking about parting out,,one question i have is:How can you tell what size engine you have,,,I mean i think i can identify a 216 and a 235 in a Chev,But how can you tell what a GMC has in it????,Thanx for your forthcoming reply's!!! :confused: :confused: :confused:

The first three numbers stamped on the boss behind the distributor tell the engine size. Might be 228, 248, 270.......
