It does not happen when it is dry, and nothing is striking the floor pan. I have new control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints and shocks. Could it possibly be a bad spring? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | why/how would a spring react to being wet? "nothing is striking the floor pan"? how about water? more likely water hitting the back of the wheel housing, which is the toeboard - prolly a function of the particular tread design picking up lots of water, or the texture of yer roads - undercoat the area? Try pushing up from beneath where you think the noise is coming from and see if the sheet metal 'pops' when you let off.

Stop the truck, @sshole!!!" ? In all seriousness.. is it a constant 'thump thump thump'? Does it seem to get more frequent the faster you drive, or with increased RPMs?
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
