Happy New Year!

My 58 longbox has the spare tire under the tailgate/box instead of along the driver side box. Was that a special option? It also has dual-exhaust - I presume that was added later?

I need to get a new key cut as the current key is very, very worn. The glove-box is a different key that I don't have. The doors & ignition are the same. Which should I remove to get the combo?

When I was replacing my speedo cable a few days ago I noticed the emergency brake cable going from the engine area to the rear is untwining. I could only find replacements that were universal so what's the best procedure to replace them?

the underbed spare was the standard, the bedside spare was the option, don't think dual exhaust was ever factory on the truck

take the glove box lock and get it changed to match the others, but take one of the other locks to make sure the new key really works ... a worn key may not be duplicated well

check the Old Car Centre in Langley, they'll have repro e-brake cables - the front cable and the back ones are both available, but not in the 'regular' supply chain, I got the last back cables in Canada a couple years ago
