first of all i have a 51, 3100, i want to lower, and i.ve heard some of you mention you can remove some of the leaf's but i don't know which ones and how many, please advise,,, ron

Removing the bottom 2 leaves will drop your bumper about 1 1/2" - 2". If you take any more you have to deal with removing/replacing spring clips which could be done but I can't say when it becomes unsafe. Mine rode alot better after that too.

When I first lowered the rear of my 55,I took 4 leaves out of each spring .I believe it was the lower ones.Since then I upgraded to new 5 leaf springs,new mounts,shocks,etc.I also flipped the rearend.Its right down there where it looks good and mean.
