Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 30 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 30 | Hi Folks, Just rebuilt my valve, but am puzzled by the big empty space between the aneroid chamber (disk) and the lever that controls the valve position. Heater valve photo, Hi-res Is there a piece missing? Can anyone help me find the piece? The disk feels like it has some air pressure in it, so I guess it is OK, but I can't believe it would expand enough to fill this gap. I guess the valve will work this way, but it will be all or nothing. Can someone educate me here? Thanks in advance. But, the photo may have missed some detail. Can't you run some low water pressure through it and test? Even a gravity water feed of some type. The valve does open and close, but the degree of openness is supposed to be controlled by the aneroid, and I'm not sure it can expand enough to fill the 1/2" gap between the aneroid and the control lever. Does anyone know how much the aneroid expands? | | |
