You said "...they dropped my exhaust system in the front...", do you think they bent it out of the way to ease putting in the tranny? If they did that 'blunt force trauma' you need to start with attaching the headers ONLY, then see how the pipes line up to the headers and adjust accordingly. I would have 'they' fix this problem since 'they' created it. Oh, new bolts will be used to attach the headers, of course.
Also, if this task is too daunting (or if 'they' claim ignorance) I would go to a reccomended-by-a-car-club, one man exhaust business. There you can talk to the guy who will do it the right way.

| | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 36 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 36 | You know I did go to a one man shop to have it fixed, The first thing he did was replace the two flange pipes and mate them to the header surface. He used a flat gasket on both sides and now there is no leak, they must have bent something way out of place. I now have total quiet and 4 speed smothness, I don't know what happened, I nust have replaced the dounut gasket 4 times with no suscess. live and learn! | | |
