I have them all over my truck. They come in all shapes and sizes, and nobody knows what you're talking about when you try to explain it to them. Uh, which part of the spring shackle are you referring to? | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 37 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 37 | this part As you can see there is a split near the grease fitting Thanks Rob | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 319 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 319 | Maybe you already looked at the 1929-1954 parts book. This illustration seems to call it simply a hangar. http://chevy.tocmp.com/1929_54chevyparts/07/434.HTM If you go to part # 7.112 from the illustration for example, it is described as "Hanger, rear spring front". I'm not sure which hanger you have pictured. Hope you find your replacement part.

It is a frame part and not normally found in the aftermarket. I have one for a 54/55.1 1/2 ton. Send me an e-mail if you are interested and I'll dig it out and send you a picture.
