They were "maroon" on the 52 and 53.

The headliner, sunvisors and seats were also maroon. The 52 and 53 also had maroon window winder knobs.

I can't find maroon headliners or visors anywhere... I found everything else in the LMC and Chevy Duty mags...

Go to your favorite upholstery shop and buy some SEM vinyl dye in the color you want and dye the pieces you can't find in maroon. If they don't have SEM in the right color, try Eastwood. If that fails, go to your favorite paint supply shop and get their vinyl paint in the color you want. Be sure to follow the prep instructions exactly. If you don't, the paint won't stick.

You can also have your favorite upholstery shop make the headliner and visors. My 62 Electra 225 ragtop needed upholstery and there are no kits available. A local shop made the interior (perfect) and shipped my visors somewhere to have them custom covered. They turned out great.

You might try looking at this vendor's online catalog and then calling if you see something that catches your fancy.

It looks like they have experience in lots of reproduction work and offer a sample kit of interior materials for your year truck.

While we are at it, anyone know what colors the '50, 3604 would have in it. Same problem, so faded I can't really tell what it was. With out the build sheet it doesn't appear to be any way of documenting the colors, is there? The out side, from the factory, was originally Blue, like the Blue Angels aircraft. Still haven't figured out what they called that either.

Denny, I believe the '50 color that you are referring to is Mariner Blue. It is a nice color and readily available. My local auto paint shop mixed it right up and they had it in almost every manufacturer's lines and from enamel to bc/cc.

Headliners were maroon? I was not aware of that. What reference do you have for that?

I didn't think they came in maroon. I thought all headliners on those trucks were black or gray, but I may be wrong...

Blake,

Why don't you do something like this and call it a done deal!

Blake, I have a 52 5-window....actually the headliner is brown, as well as the door panels, plus
the dash panel is a brown metallic...all of these
(with the exception of the dash) have a maroonish
tint to them, including the seat...I have a color
chart I acquired many years ago from the GM archives
department...also, My seat is original as the truck
was purchased new by a Great Uncle and passed down to My Dad, and finally to Me...it has only 15,644 original miles on it... Bill Bevins
